1 tomato = 25 minutes of work + 5 minutes of rest.
Only with me, it’s always either the rest drags on (at the start of the day, before I get into the groove) or I do 2-3-4 pomodoros in a row without a break – usually after lunch, when I’m already rolling and need to finish the daily quota. It’s very important to count how many pomodoros you do per day.
A great day is when I hit the maximum limit of 16 pomodoros: 8 pomodoros for each of 2 projects. In reality, I end up doing half that.
I draw little houses. For each pomodoro, I draw a short line on paper with a pen. These lines build a house with a roof, a chimney, and a window. Steps lead up to the house. The house itself represents pomodoros spent on the main project, and the steps represent those spent on a secondary project.
